Do you have a place to stay for the PGA?

The 2012 PGA Championships hosted on Kiawah Island, SC are less than a month away! We are so excited about the additional hub-bub that is going on around the island, as well as the local communities! There is even word that Charleston (about an hr away) is filling up hotel rooms and rental houses! There are still plenty of rentals available for this exciting experience on Seabrook Island (2 miles away from Kiawah!) Feel free to check out our page and inquire about rentals so that you can rub elbows with the pros! For tickets to the Championships, visit the PGA website. They are having a last chance ticket sale….so once these are gone, well there’s always next year if you can put up with the wait!

It’s about that time…. 2012 PGA Championship time!

It only makes it more real when you see articles posted about parking for the shuttle area just down the street and the number of people expected to hit the islands when the 2012 PGA Championship comes to Kiawah! The parking/shuttle area is just over a mile away from our villa. We can’t even imagine how many people will take the walkway to the shuttle and then rub elbows with some pro golfers (that’s the dream anyway)!

Luggage rack success!

What does everyone need when they unpack on vacation? A luggage rack! We just finished designing and building our custom rack for the villa. I think it turned out great!

I was a little hesitant at first since this would be my first “from scratch” project. But my husband helped with the building of the frame and I worried about the decorative points. I meant to take photos all along to post a tutorial, but it went together so fast that it was done before I thought about snapping the first photo. Another successful addition to what is shaping up to be our home by the sea!

CBS Sports Flyerovers for 2012 PGA!!

Turner Sports/CBS Sports was doing flyovers today on neighboring island, Kiawah, in preparation for the PGA Championship!! (that little statue on the 18th hole is the Wanamaker Trophy!) So excited for the upcoming events this summer!!

Officially Listed!!

Well it took a bit longer than we thought, but the villa is officially listed on vrbo.com (http://www.vrbo.com/419354)! And the calendar is filling up for the summer! We continue to make some modifications. Nothing is ever perfect, after all!I will definitely post as we continue to change and renovate our home by the beach 🙂
